What is the difference between truth and reality

No matter where you are, it is a reality that you will die without food. A reality usually refers to a specific situation. The reality is that all of the fish in the pond are dead. In reality, I am not really a doctor. Tell me the truth and you will not be in trouble. See a translation. She just told me that she will own a lion. She needs a reality check. English US Filipino. Example: She keeps lying to her mother but her mother already knows the truth.

This is the main difference between reality and truth. The difference between reality and truth is akin to difference between a discovery and invention. A discovery is self existent or something that has been existent right from the past, whereas invention is the one that has been found out with the help of the discovered facts. In the same way reality is the one that does not change its nature in the present and future too.

It is always of the same nature. On the other hand truth can change its nature in due course. Many scientific truths were disproved in the past. The truth about the planetary motion was re-established later. Hence truth sometimes is bound to change.

Reality tells us about the real nature of a particular thing, experience, existence and the like. Truth tells about the fact that has been invented or experimented. In other words it can be said that reality gives rise to truth. What is found out in reality is what is given ultimately as truth. Hence truth needs the observance of reality.

This includes what we see through the lens of personal biases which references our past and history , through the lens of our personal agendas which is tied into the future and our self-orientation , and through the lens of others around us, including their influence on our emotions which represents the present.

The first version is what I see , as in how I see the world. I, like you, see the world though my own eyes, informed by my own history, experiences, and intentional attitude a. My world centered around ME! Our position most certainly affects how we put things together to sketch our view of reality, but this comes with challenges. The fourth example is mistakenly trusting that my emotions or cravings and perhaps addictions are seated in truth.
