Bastion how many hours

The player character moves through fantasy-themed environments that form paths on the fly. The protagonist travels to many unique locations other than the Bastion, including forests, bogs, and a volcano.

As the player progresses through each level, the player grows stronger by finding more weapons, materials to upgrade those weapons, and by gaining See more experience from defeating enemies. At the end of most levels, the player collects cores which allow the player to add a building to the Bastion and Shards which allow the player to add a secondary level to said buildings.

The length of the game is short, however the story, music, art, and game play make this a fantastically enjoyable game experience. Great atmospher and strong narrator' voice. Next Post. Bastion is a relatively unique experience and goes on sale often enough that it can be justified as a purchase at nearly any time. It might not be a long, weaving narrative like a typical jRPG nor is it a 4 act tale like Diablo 3 or something, it does what it does very, very well. Watch some videos or some reviews to get a general feel for the gameplay.

When I played it I didn't like it for maybe the first hour or so, after that I started unlocking weapons and upgrades that better suited my playstyle and after that it just clicked and became a very enjoyable game. It also has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in recent games. Edited 8. Yes, you can't judge enjoyabilty by the length. But when i finish a short game I always end up feeling cheated.

Even if I enjoyed the game i end up feeling disappointed. I guess it's just the way I am. I found that around hours of main story is the minimum needed for me to happy, I only buy shorter games when I expect them to be spectacular or have a really high replay value.

But any serious game should at least 20 hours of content imo. Take Gears of War 3, now that's a serious game. Three years in production, milions of dollars and 11h 42min completionist time I've put ten times that into minesweeper. I can't even explain how upset i was that i gave my money for a game I finished in one weekend. FPS developers are getting away with murder by saying "it's meant to be played online, killing each other in arenas and stuff That's one way to look at it, but I think that's just adding arbitrary hurdles for the game to jump.

I guess it's a matter of perspective, I would agree I would feel cheated, if say, a game were less than 5 hours long, but 20 hours to me seems far too high unless we are talking purely about R. I know it's all subjective, I just think that objectively Bastion is a good game well coded, unique music, unique art style, you can see that the people who made it put work and passion into the project and deserves it's chance to be played, Even if you thought it was overrated like pongsifu, which I can understand, it would be better to judge it through playing it.

If you don't want to play it rather deem it not enough of the genre you are looking instead of being 14 hours too short. At the very least, if you didn't like it, it's short enough to not bother you too much.
